Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released three admission brochures for UG, PG, and PhD courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Interested candidates can apply for admission to
undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes at over 130 affiliated colleges and university schools. Let’s explore the details, including fees, courses, seats, and application deadlines.
The online application process for GGSIPU will begin on February 2. At the release of the admission booklet, Delhi’s Education Minister Ashish Sood and the university’s Vice Chancellor Professor Mahesh Verma announced that the university offers over 43,000 seats in more than 130 affiliated institutions. Over 230 academic programmes are available in fields such as AI, robotics, data science, law, medicine, and design.
Dr Verma mentioned that this year, the university is introducing several new courses, including Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Lateral Entry in B.Sc. (Packaging Technology), M.Tech. (Robotics and Artificial Intelligence), M.A. Mass Communication (Weekend Programme), additional weekend programmes in selected subjects, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (University School of Studies), B.Tech. Industrial Chemistry, B.Sc. Clinical Psychology, B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), B.Tech. (Computer Science and Business Systems), Teacher Education and Inclusive Education, and B.A. B.Ed. (Special and Inclusive Education – ISITEP) with several specialisations:
– Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
– Hearing Impairment (HI)
– Intellectual Disability (ID)
– Learning Disability (LD)
– Multiple Disability (MD)
– Visual Impairment (VI)
Nine new institutes have been affiliated with the university this year. Three programmes are already offered from the Narela campus, with several new programmes planned for the new campus.
Admissions Process And Fees
The application fee, as last year, is a one-time fee of Rs 2500, covering both registration and counselling.
Admissions will be conducted through the CET and national-level exams such as JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CMAT, NIMSET, CLAT, and more. Vacant seats for some undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be filled through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The university has also decided to use CUET scores to fill remaining seats in the B.Tech programme.
