Google Chrome users continue to face serious questions about its security and the Indian government is doing its part by informing them about the latest issues.
There is a new security warning for Chrome
users from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team of CERT-In. The new security bulletin dated October 3, 2025 comes with a high-severity rating which affects millions of Chrome users on PC and Linux systems.
Chrome Alert From Indian Govt: What’s The Issue?
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Chrome which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.” the security bulletin highlighted.
The actual security warning shares the details which says, “Multiple vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to Heap buffer overflow in WebGPU and Video; Side-channel information leakage in Storage and Tab; Inappropriate implementation in Media, Omnibox, and Storage; Out of bounds read in Media; Off by one error in V8; Use after free in V8. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to visit a specially crafted web page.”
In simple words, if the attacker manages to bypass the security of the system and exploit these issues, they can get the victim to visit a targeted malicious website which can be very dangerous.
