Jeevan Pramaan is a government of India-sponsored scheme for retired government employees and pensioners. It incorporates details via biometrics and the Aadhaar card and is also known as the Digital Life
Certificate (DLC) for concerned pensioners. Since this digital certificate is not valid for life, pensioners are required to submit it annually to continue receiving their monthly pension without any interruptions.
The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has now announced the dates when the pensioners can submit their Jeevan Pramaan or Digital Life Certificate for the year. The DoPPW will be conducting its 4th nationwide DLC campaign for all government pensioners, covering 2,000 districts and sub-divisional headquarters across the country.
When Can A Pensioner Submit The Jeevan Pramaan?
All existing pensioners of the government of India can submit the Jeevan Pramaan between November 1 and 30, 2025, to continue receiving their pension without disruptions. For senior citizens above the age of 80, the government has announced that the life certificate can be submitted from October 1.
To ensure the smoothest possible Jeevan Pramaan submission campaign across different states, the GOI has collaborated with 19 Pension Disbursing Banks, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), Pensioners’ Welfare Associations (PWAs), CGDA, DoT, Railways, UIDAI and MeitY.
In their press release, the DoPPW confirmed that these banks will be holding camps at multiple locations across 300 cities and ensure outreach to every pensioner, even in the remotest corners of India.
The campaign will feature visits to the homes and hospitals of aged, disabled or sick pensioners. Working in coordination with banks and IPPB will be 57 registered Pensioners’ Welfare Associations that will assist in mobilising the pensioners and conducting camps for them.
How To Generate a Life Certificate
According to the DoPPW, there are certain prerequisites for acquiring the Jeevan Pramaan life certificate. As a pensioner, you are required to provide your Aadhaar number, name, mobile number and other necessary information like the PPO number, the pension account number, bank details, name of pension sanctioning authority and pension disbursing authority.
To help the pensioner access the scheme, the GOI has made available different modes of submitting the life certificate. Depending on their convenience, pensioners can submit the annual Jeevan Pramaan manually or digitally.
