When Salman Khan and Aamir Khan sit together, the laughs are plenty – but this time, the two superstars opened up about a less glamorous side of their childhood. On a new episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, the actors revealed they once studied at the same school without even realising it. What followed were surprising stories of punishments, fee struggles and the kind of memories that show just how far they’ve come since those early days.
Salman Khan’s school exit
Salman revealed that he was only in the school until Class 4. “Apparently we were in the same school together. But we don’t remember that because I was there till fourth grade, then I was thrown out of the school,” he shared.
The actor explained that one incident led to confusion
with the authorities. While running with a friend, the friend tripped, fell, and chipped his teeth. The school assumed Salman had deliberately caused it.
But that wasn’t the only reason. “I was punished outside, and my father (Salim Khan) asked, ‘What has he done now?’ I was in grade four. My dad spoke to the teacher, and she said, ‘No Mr Khan, it is not his fault, it’s your fault.’ He asked, ‘What did I do?’ She said, ‘Your fees, which you were supposed to pay, are not on time, so we kept him outside.’ Then he said, ‘Then you should be making me stand there.’ After this, my father went to the principal, did whatever he could to pay the money, but two weeks later, this incident happened again and they took me out of school.”
Aamir recalls fee troubles too
Aamir nodded as Salman recalled the story and revealed he had faced similar struggles. “Yes, I do remember my parents couldn’t pay fees on time either, and then they would announce our names in the assembly.” Both actors shared how such public moments left a lasting mark.
Back to where it all began
The revelations left fans nostalgic, especially since the two stars became co-actors in the 1994 cult comedy Andaaz Apna Apna. Their friendship, once rocky, has grown stronger over the years, and Aamir dropped a fresh hint that a sequel to the comedy classic is in the works.
