The Australian women’s cricket team created history on Saturday, September 20, by becoming the first team in the world to post a total of more than 400 runs against India in a Women’s ODI match. In the third and final ODI of the ongoing three-match series between India and Australia currently underway at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Women in Yellow skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and opted to bat first, after which, riding on No. 4 batter Beth Mooney’s 138-run knock, Australia posted a total of 412/10 in 47.5 overs.
The previous highest total in ODIs against India was 371/8 in 50 overs, which was also posted by Australia in Brisbane on December 8, 2024.
