Mandi (HP), Apr 21 (PTI) Two people were killed on the spot on Tuesday when the car they were travelling in fell into a 500 m deep gorge on the Tatapani-Karsog road near Taror in Mandi district, police said.
Information regarding an accident was received on Tuesday, following which a search operation was conducted with the help of the locals and Fire Brigade staff and two bodies were recovered from the spot.
The deceased were identified as Sunil Kumar, 22, and Pawan Kumar, both residents of Karsog.
Superintendent of Police Mandi said that a case of rash and negligent driving and causing death through negligence under sections 281 and 106 of the BNS has been registered and investigations are underway.
The bodies were handed over to the relatives
