Likewise, on Tuesday, September 16, she posted a clip on her Instagram Stories, where Shabana Azmi and others came together to celebrate the success of actress Sandhya Mridul’s poetry collection, Untamed.
In the video, originally shared by Sandhya on her Instagram account, Shabana Azmi shared some heartfelt words about “Untamed” and its author. The veteran actress began on a light note, telling the audience that within their close-knit group of friends, Sandhya has always
been known as “the joker.” She is the one who cracks jokes, lightens the mood, and makes everyone laugh. But as Shabana explained, Untamed showed her a completely different side of Sandhya.

“It was only through this book that I discovered, my God, because I used to see glimpses of this person that she would try very hard to cover. And then this book came out, searing, naked,” she said. The 74-year-old actress admitted that the poems touched her so deeply that she couldn’t hold back her emotions. “And when I started reading this, I cried so much,” Shabana mentioned, adding, “To be so seared by the openness, by the rawness with which she has expressed herself and let herself go. It is such a lesson to each one of us that letting go, letting go, is the real truth.” She even read a poem from Sandhya’s book.

Touched by what Shabana Azmi said about her and her book, Sandhya Mridul, known for her roles in Page 3, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. and Mentalhood, shared a note of gratitude for her. In the caption, she wrote, “Kabhi kabhi woh ek feeling aati hai na..ki ruki si zindagi ab aage bad rahi hai .. zindagi ka matlab, maksad kuch samajh sa aa raha hai ..Yeh woh shyam thi.. yeh log yeh pyaar yeh khud ki ek jagah.. jo kamayi hai .. mehnat lagan aur pyar se.. jo jeeti hai zindagi ke iss khel mein..Jaise ki ab shayad zindagi safal ho rahi hai..”

Sandhya continued, “Aapa @azmishabana18 kya kahoon main aapki taareef mein aapke bare mein.. badi behen ho toh aap jaise .. aapko kama kar sab kuch kama liya hai maine ..Shukriya ..poore dil se. Chalo ab tambola (housie) khelen.”
Sandhya Mridul released her poetry collection Untamed in November last year.
