The United in Triumph event returns with its second edition as a landmark celebration of Indian sporting excellence, bringing together champions who defined world cricket across formats and abilities.
Set against the grandeur of Antilia to ring in the New Year, the evening will honour India’s World Cup-winning teams: the men’s champions of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the women’s victors of the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, and the trailblazing visually impaired women’s side that lifted the inaugural 2025 Blind Women’s T20 World Cup.
At the centre of the celebrations will be India’s three World Cup-winning captains — Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepika TC — whose leadership, resilience and belief shaped historic campaigns.
United in Triumph is not merely a felicitation; it is a tribute to unity, perseverance and the many pathways to greatness within Indian sport.
Rohit Sharma’s presence reflects a year of leadership and milestones. As captain, he guided India to the 2024 T20 World Cup title with clarity and calm, blending experience with fearless intent. His influence extended beyond trophies, marked by landmark batting achievements and authoritative performances on the biggest stage. United in Triumph is set to celebrate the captaincy that restored India’s global dominance and the batter who continued to redefine consistency at the elite level.
Equally compelling is the journey of Harmanpreet Kaur, whose captaincy underpinned India’s unforgettable 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup triumph. Written off midway through the tournament after a string of defeats, India staged one of the greatest comebacks in World Cup history. The defining moments — a must-win victory over New Zealand and a record-breaking semi-final chase against Australia — showcased tactical courage and unshakeable belief. Harmanpreet’s leadership throughout the year embodied resilience, guiding a team that transformed adversity into historic success.
Completing this triumvirate is Deepika TC, whose leadership of the Indian women’s blind cricket team culminated in victory at the inaugural Blind Women’s T20 World Cup. India’s unbeaten run, capped by a dominant final win over Nepal, was a powerful statement of skill, preparation and collective spirit. Her campaign brought overdue recognition to blind women’s cricket and reaffirmed that excellence transcends circumstance.
United in Triumph will also be graced by leading Olympians, Paralympians, Indian cricketing legends and icons from the world of cinema.
