During the event, the developer on stage announced that Pathaan 2 is in development. A video from the launch, widely shared by fan accounts online, captured the moment when the developer said, “Koi blockbuster movie hoti hai toh uska ek sequel hota hai, am I right? Like ‘Pathaan’. ‘Pathaan 2’ aa rahi hai. Toh koi movie aap dekho, toh uska sequel hoga.”

The statement quickly sent fans into a frenzy, especially with the timing of the news coinciding with Ranveer Singh’s action thriller Dhurandhar, which has opened to a massive Rs 200 crore at the box office. Filmmaker-actor Anshuman Jha, who was part of the meeting, shared, “There are concrete conversations of Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year. I hope we help His Excellency’s vision of bringing the beauty of Chile to the world through our cinema.”

In terms of the larger franchise plan, reports indicate that Pathaan 2 will release ahead of the high-profile crossover Tiger vs Pathaan.
