Brazilian wunderkind Endrick completed a sensational loan switch to Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon from Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old will be eligible to play for the French outfit from January 1st, as soon as the transfer window opens, and will return to Madrid in June.
“This year Christmas falls on December 23rd,” the French club shared on social media handles.

Lyon will cover half of the players’ wages as part of the agreement and no option for a buy clause has been stipulated.

Born Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, in Taguatinga, the youngster, who started his career at Palmeiras drew comparison to the legendary Pele early in life and secured a high-profile move to Spanish outfit Real Madrid. The forward, however, has found playtime difficult to come by and will hope the six-month period at Lyon would advance his profile in the eyes of Madrid.
Lyon stand 5th in the French top-tier, behind Lens, PSG, Marseille and Lille, with 27 points from 16 games with 8 wins, three draws and 5 defeats to their name.
