Aryan Khan Based The Ba***ds Of Bollywood Hero On Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan, Confirms Lakshya

Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, made his directorial debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood recently. The series is full of meta references and self-aware digs at Bollywood and its stalwarts. While many believed that the lead character, Aasmaan, was based on Shah Rukh Khan, actor Lakshya has confirmed that he referenced SRK and Salman Khan.

In a chat with the Hindustan Times before the show’s release, Lakshya said, “When I read the script, I realised this is me, or this is what I used to be. With time, we become more correct due to the society. We tell ourselves to be the straight guy in interviews.”

When asked if he took reference from any real-life heroes for his character, Aasmaan, Lakshya had a clear response. “My reference point for the character was

Shah Rukh sir, and all the ‘boys’ from the 90s: Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan. Their vibe and the aura were different,” he said.

Lakshya added, “When I spoke to Aryan, he told me to watch how Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan used to talk. All these guys were not rude or arrogant but themselves. I watched so many interviews of Shah Rukh sir, including the one where he said, ‘I am not here to compete, I am here to rule.’ That takes a lot of self-belief to say that. You can’t learn that, but you are born with it. I think all of us have that somewhere, but society is such that if I say all that, people will say you are arrogant.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywood Season 2 In The Works?

Recently, Aryan’s close friend and actress Ananya Panday took to Instagram to congratulate him on his success. However, fans believe that her post included a cheeky hint at the show’s second season. Ananya Panday shared childhood photos of Aryan Khan and Ahaan Panday to laud their recent successes.

Alongside the nostalgic click, Ananya penned a sweet note that read: “These little boys have done such BIG things lately 😍😍 couldn’t be prouder 🥺❤️.” Aryan Khan responded to the note by writing, “Special thanks for everything.” Ananya Panday reposted Aryan’s response and wrote, “Ready for my role in season 2 now.” Some fans believed that Ananya was teasing the show’s second season. However, it is important to note that there is no official confirmation on this yet.
