A cricketer of greater skill, determination and intensity on the field, former India captain Rohit Sharma retains a funny and jovial streak off it. The limited-overs legend, who retired from Tests and T20
Internationals for India, has been spending extra time with his family and friends in this period and making interactive and hilarious reels over social media.
A video of Rohit pulling a prank involving an electric shock pen on his friends, including his former Mumbai teammate Dhawal Kulkarni, went viral recently. Now, another clip of Rohit playing a song and dancing at a couple’s wedding photoshoot has caught the fans’ attention.
Rohit Grooves To Aj Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai
In the video, Rohit was seen grooving to the beats of the famous Hindi song ‘Aaj mere yaar ki shaadi hai’ after watching a couple undergo their post-wedding photoshoot from a distance. Having noticed the duo dressed in wedding clothes from the window of his gym in Mumbai, Rohit put a pause to his workout, picked up a speaker and loudly played out the classic originally sung by the legendary Mohammad Rafi.
A newly engaged couple was doing their wedding shoot, and when Rohit saw them while working out, he played the song "Aaj Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" on his speaker and started dancing.
The stalwart danced to the beats of the song, which is often played at weddings in India. Standing beneath, the couple couldn’t believe their great fortune upon seeing the Indian legend himself celebrating the biggest day of their lives. The bride summed up the incident, saying “yeh toh moment ho gaya (what a moment this is!)” as Rohit made their wedding date extra special.
‘Humblest Cricketer Of All Time’
People loved and adored Rohit for his gesture on the couple’s wedding day, giving the two a memory they will cherish for the rest of their lives. The video also highlighted Rohit’s humble nature, as noted by several fans on social media.
“Humblest Cricketer of All time,” said a die-hard Rohit supporter.
Someone else noted, “Rohit is in full mood. Good to see that he enjoys his days.”
“Rohit turned a simple photoshoot into a lifetime memory — pure vibes, pure desi joy!” commented another individual.
Rohit made a successful return to the field recently after a five-month hiatus since IPL 2025, scoring a fantastic hundred in the third and final match of the One-Day International series against Australia in Sydney.
