TN polls: TRB Rajaa loses to AMMK candidate in Mannargudi

May 4 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa lost to AMMK candidate Kamaraj S at Mannargudi constituency with a margin of 1,566 votes on Monday.

According to the Election Commission data, Rajaa secured 66,850 votes and Kamaraj – 68,416 votes.

Rajaa has been elected thrice to the Assembly from Mannargudi.

After DMK came back to power in 2021, Rajaa was appointed as a member of the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission and as the Chairman of the Legislative Committee on Estimates. Later in 2023, he was made minister. PTI SNR SNR KH
