Faridabad, Sep 4 (PTI) As part of an anti-drug campaign, Faridabad police has so far registered 334 NDPS cases in 2026 and arrested 446 accused, including 106 suppliers/sources, officials said on Friday.
The information was shared at a meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Faridabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Kumar Mohan.
In the anti-drug operations, police have also recovered 276.8 kg ganja, 560.8 grams smack, 1 kg charas, 272.6 grams sulfa, 3.1 grams cocaine, 2.2 kg opium and 17.1 grams MDMA. In addition, 582 injections, 1,677 capsules, 11,454 narcotic tablets, 200 ml syrup and 23 MTP kits have also been seized, according to an official statement.
“Special focus has been laid on cases involving commercial quantities
of narcotic substances to effectively target organised drug syndicates. Under this category, 14 cases have been registered and 33 accused have been arrested, including 19 suppliers. In these cases, police have recovered 94.065 kg ganja, 272 grams smack, 1.076 kg charas and 11.01 grams MDMA, along with 386 injections, 1,645 capsules and 10,816 narcotic tablets”, he added.
Nine properties/illegal constructions associated with drug offenders have also been demolished during the anti-narcotics operations.
The meeting, attended by senior police officers, including the coordinator of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), focused on inter-agency consultation and coordination. It was held in accordance with the special campaign schedule prescribed by the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) for the year 2026-27. PTI COR AMJ AMJ
