Rupali Ganguly’s Dominance on Television Remains Unshaken
While Rupali’s engaging digital presence continues to charm viewers, her work on Anupamaa remains the cornerstone of her widespread popularity. Even with several major co-actors departing the show since 2024, including Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat, Gaurav Khanna and Madalsa Sharma, Rupali’s portrayal of Anupamaa has stayed powerful, consistent and deeply relatable.
A Story of Strength, Transformation, and Empowerment
Anupamaa tells the story of a middle-aged woman who dedicates her entire life to her family, only to receive minimal appreciation in return. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she discovers her husband’s infidelity. Instead of breaking down, Anupamaa embraces a journey of self-love, courage and independence.
Anupamaa is a Hindi-language television drama that first aired on 13 July 2020 on StarPlus and is also available for streaming on Hotstar. Created by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under the Director’s Kut Productions banner, the show is an official adaptation of the Bengali series Sreemoyee from Star Jalsha.
