Police have detained another doctor from a private university in Pathankot, in connection to his possible links with the Delhi blast outside Red Fort, which claimed the lives of 13 people.
According to the investigators, the doctor, identified as Dr Riyees Ahmed, had worked at Al-Falah University, Faridabad, between 2020 and 2021.
Meanwhile, he National Medical Commission (NMC) has cancelled the registrations of the four doctors involved in the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module behind the November 10 blast.
In its notice, the commission cancelled the Indian Medical Register (IMR) and National Medical Register (NMR) entries of four doctors, Muzaffar Ahmad, Adeel Ahmad Rather, Muzamil Shakeel and Shaheen Saeed, with immediate effect.
The doctors “can
no longer practise medicine or hold any medical appointment anywhere in India”, the notice states.
According to the NMC’s order, the registrations of the four doctors were cancelled after the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with the J&K and Uttar Pradesh Medical Councils, shared evidence indicating that the doctors were “prima facie involved” in a terror-linked case.
