Smartworks appoints Rajeev Krishnamuralilal Agarwal as independent director

New Delhi, Jun 30 (PTI) Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd has appointed Rajeev Krishnamuralilal Agarwal as an additional non-executive and independent director of the company.

Agarwal is a former Whole-Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 1983 batch, the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

Smartworks’ board has also recommended the appointment of Justice (Retd) Dilip Deshmukh as a non-executive and Independent Director of the company, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Neetish Sarda, Founder and Managing Director, Smartworks, said: “Strong governance has always been central to how we have built Smartworks, and it will remain just as important as we continue

to grow.” Smartworks has a portfolio of 16.1 million square feet across 66 centres. ‹These facilities are located in 15 cities across India and Singapore.

Recently, the company said it would acquire Singapore-based Workstudio Spaces to expand its business in the country.

Workstudio Spaces Pte. Ltd, a Singapore-based flexible workspace provider, has an operational footprint of 26,000 sq ft. PTI MJH MJH ANU ANU
