The Delhi-based franchise faced three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders in their 11th match of the ongoing IPL 2026 season on Friday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi but suffered a defeat by 8 wickets. Finn Allen scored a century in just 47 balls to help KKR chase down the target of 143 runs in 14.2 overs and secure their fourth win of the ongoing season.

The defeat against KKR in front of home fans was DC’s 7th loss in IPL 2026 and overall 150th in the IPL. They top the list of teams with the most defeats in the IPL.

In the IPL 2026 match played between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, New Zealand batter Finn Allen scored a century in 47 balls for KKR. The 27-year-old right-handed batter hammered 5 fours and 10 sixes during his stay at the crease and helped KKR chase down the 143-run target in just 14.2 overs.
The century in 47 balls by Allen helped him break Venkatesh Iyer’s record of scoring the fastest century in the IPL for KKR. Venkatesh needed 49 balls to reach the triple-digit mark for the Kolkata-based franchise in the IPL 2023 match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 16, 2023.
