Bigg Boss 19: Manu Punjabi Slams Farrhana Bhatt, Lauds Ashnoor Kaur's 'Calm'

Former Bigg Boss contestant Manu Punjabi has come out in support of Ashnoor Kaur after the latest episode, praising her for how maturely she handled the tense situation with Abhishek Bajaj. In the recent

Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan mentioned Abhishek’s ex-wife, Akanksha Jindal, which left the actor worried. He was wondering if she might enter the show. Upset and anxious, he spoke to Ashnoor without wearing his mic- which is against Bigg Boss rules. Because of that, both got punished.

However, Manu Punjabi appreciated how Ashnoor dealt with everything with calmness and grace. He said: “Jab se makers ne ye situation ko laya, Abhishek aur Ashnoor ke bich kuch bhi ho ya bahut kuch ho, it totally depends on them how they want to, when they want to reveal this. Aur jab Abhishek ye batata hai, tab Ashnoor usko kaise dhang se handle karti hai ‘jabhi tujhe zarurat ho, jaha tujhe zarurat ho, tu mujhe bolna, main baithi hu, tu tension mat le.’”

Manu further added that Abhishek got scared after being teased by Tanya and Farhana: “Aaj Abhishek dar gaya tha, uski fat gayi thi… Pehli baar Tanya aur Farhana se wo darne laga tha… Ashnoor aayi aur usne actually uski dosti ka ek bond dikhaya, aur usne aake usko defend kiya.”

Manu said makers’ plan “ulta pad gaya” because Ashnoor showed strength and friendship, not drama. Manu also called out Farrhana for targeting Ashnoor: “Ashnoor ne puri courtesy dikhate hue, tareeke se shant rahi, chup rahi… Wo 21 saal ki ladki jo aapko 13 saal ke dimaag wali lagti hai, wo actually sabse zyada brained hogi.”

Premiered in August this year, Bigg Boss 19 is hosted by Salman Khan. The latest contestants who walked out of the show are Baseer Ali and Nehal Chudasama. The show airs on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
