England speedster Jofra Archer is spearheading Rajasthan Royals’ bowling attack in IPL 2026 and is among the leading wicket-takers this season. Archer, who was signed for Rs 12.50 crore by Rajasthan ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, has played all 14 matches so far and picked up 21 wickets. He delivered a match-winning spell of 3/17 in four overs against Mumbai Indians in RR’s final league match on Sunday (May 24), helping his side qualify for the IPL playoffs.

With 21 wickets in IPL 2026, Archer equalled Yuzvendra Chahal’s unique record. He is now only the second bowler after Chahal to take 20 or more wickets in multiple IPL seasons for the Rajasthan-based franchise.
Archer had also claimed
20 wickets in 14 matches for Rajasthan Royals during the 2020 IPL season.

Chahal, who is the highest wicket-taker in IPL history, is the only bowler to take 20 wickets in multiple IPL seasons for multiple teams. He dismissed 23 batters in 2015 and picked up 21 wickets each in the 2016 and 2020 editions of the IPL for RCB. He played for RR from 2022 to 2024 and got rid of 20-plus batters in the 2022 and 2023 editions.
