Trisha Krishnan has shared a thoughtful post on ageing and self-discovery, reposting a clip of media mogul Oprah Winfrey reflecting on finding purpose later in life. The actress, who turned 43 on May 4, shared the video on her Instagram Stories with a simple caption: “Amen,” seemingly resonating with Oprah’s belief that life truly begins at 44.
Oprah on why life begins at 44
The clip features Oprah Winfrey speaking on Keke Palmer’s podcast, Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, where she was asked if there was an age she would like to revisit.
Rather than choosing her 30s, Oprah said she would gladly return to 44. “No, I don’t want to be 30 again. I would take 44. I think life starts at 44,” she said.
Explaining why, Oprah reflected on how that phase marked
a turning point in her life.
“Because you come into yourself in a way that you are no longer trying to please everybody else. I do have some girls now I have mentored who are in their early 30s who have gotten into it sooner, but for me it was 44 when I locked in. I could see the rising for myself. I wasn’t just doing this for other people. I wasn’t just creating the work to be like… I really was in full drive, purposeful, living for myself.”
Trisha reposted the video on Instagram Stories and captioned it with a single word: “Amen,” indicating that Oprah’s reflections struck a chord with her.
Trisha recently celebrated her 43rd birthday
The post comes just a few months after Trisha celebrated her 43rd birthday on May 4. Her birthday coincided with the announcement of the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results. On the same day, a video of the actress arriving by car at actor Vijay’s residence in Chennai surfaced online, drawing attention on social media.
Earlier that day, Trisha had visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, where she offered prayers during a low-key visit.
Relationship rumours continue
In recent months, Trisha and Vijay have continued to make headlines amid persistent speculation about their relationship. While the rumours have gained traction online, neither actor has publicly addressed them.
The two have shared screen space in several successful films, including Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, Kuruvi, and most recently, Leo.
A career spanning over two decades
One of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, Trisha has enjoyed a career of more than 20 years, delivering several commercially and critically successful Tamil and Telugu films. She remains one of the industry’s most sought-after leading actresses, with an enduring fan following across languages.
