Kuldeep Yadav entered his name in the history books on Wednesday, September 24, by becoming India’s highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup (ODIs and T20Is combined). Kuldeep needed two wickets in the ongoing
Asia Cup 2025 match between India and Bangladesh in Dubai to break Ravindra Jadeja’s record of 29 wickets, and he achieved the objective by dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon and Rishad Hossain.
While Emon was caught by Abhishek Sharma on the second ball of the seventh over of Bangladesh’s innings, Tilak Varma completed Rishad’s catch on the first ball of the 17th over.
On the second ball of the 17th over, Kuldeep then breached Tanzim Hasan Sakib’s defence and dismissed him for a golden duck.
He finished the match with figures of 3 for 18 in four overs.
