The 80-year-old is also expected to present the winners’ medals following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final between Spain and Argentina.

Argentina are aiming to become only the third nation in history to successfully defend the FIFA World Cup title after Italy (1934 and 1938) and Brazil (1958 and 1962).

Spain, meanwhile, are chasing their second FIFA World Cup crown and their first since their historic triumph in South Africa in 2010.

Spanish tennis superstar Carlos Alcaraz added star power to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on Sunday by unveiling the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy ahead of the much-anticipated clash between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Alcaraz entered the field alongside South Korean actress Hoyeon, Spanish football legend Andrés Iniesta and Argentine great Mario Kempes before presenting the trophy to the fans inside the packed stadium.
