Alyssa Healy, who is the captain of Australia’s women’s cricket team, went unsold in the WPL 2026 mega auction, which was held in New Delhi on Thursday, November 27. The right-handed wicketkeeper-batter
who was associated with UP Warriorz in the last three seasons of the WPL and even led them as well was the first player to go under the hammer on Thursday, but she failed to attract any bid.
She was not included in the list of players submitted by the five WPL franchises for the accelerated round of mega auctions.
Healy, who is one of the greatest batters of all time, has played a total of 162 T20Is for Australia since making her debut in February 2010 against New Zealand in Hobart. In 143 innings of 162 T20I matches played so far for the Australian team, Healy has amassed a total of 3054 runs.
She was probably the biggest player to find a buyer in the WPL 2026 mega auction. Her teammate Alana King also failed to attract any bid despite coming twice in the mega auction. England’s former captain Heather Knight was another top player who failed to find a buyer on Thursday.

India’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma was the most expensive player in the WPL 2026 mega auction. She was signed by UP Warriorz for Rs 3.20 crore. Mumbai Indians signed New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr for Rs 3 crore, and UP Warriorz also spent Rs 2.40 crore to sign out-of-favour India pacer Shikha Pandey. Gujarat Giants signed New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine for Rs 2 crore.

67 players sold
A total of 67 players were signed by five teams in the IPL 2026 mega auction on Thursday. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals signed 11 players each, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured the services of 12 players. On the other hand, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz signed 16 and 17 players, respectively.
