Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday issued strict instructions to administrative officials to ensure the prompt and sensitive redressal of all public complaints. Addressing administrative executives during his visit to Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister emphasised that there must be no negligence or complacency when handling grievances brought forward by citizens, adding that satisfactory resolution remains a primary governance metric.
The directives were issued during a Janata Darshan session held on Friday morning at the Gorakhnath Temple complex, where Chief Minister Adityanath personally met around 200 citizens to hear their grievances. Walking among the attendees seated outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan, the Chief Minister engaged
directly with each individual, collected their written representations, and handed them over to accompanying departmental officers with precise, time-bound instructions for legal and administrative action. Reassuring the gathering, he maintained that the state administration would monitor every application to ensure effective enforcement.
A significant number of citizens at the grievance cell sought financial assistance from the state exchequer to meet specialised medical treatment expenses. Responding to these appeals, Chief Minister Adityanath assured the applicants that essential medical treatments would not be halted or delayed due to a lack of individual financial resources.
In a specific interaction with a woman seeking assistance for a critical heart ailment, the Chief Minister directed health department officials to expedite the preparation of cost estimates from the treating medical institutions. He clarified that necessary financial allocations would be sanctioned directly from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to cover specialised treatment parameters immediately.
The grievance review session also addressed multiple complaints regarding property disputes and illegal land occupations. Taking a serious view of these matters, Chief Minister Adityanath instructed law enforcement and revenue officials to initiate swift and stringent punitive action against individuals involved in illegal land encroachment.
He reiterated that the state maintains a zero-tolerance policy against unlawful property seizures, ordering local administrations to protect vulnerable landholders and clear institutional blockages immediately. The Chief Minister concluded by instructing the district administration to maintain regular follow-ups on the petitions received during the session to guarantee transparency and absolute relief for the affected families.
