Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, known for his top-notch English-speaking skills, made a grammatical mistake while writing a birthday message for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Unbelievable, isn’t it?
Tharoor, an MP from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram, wrote a warm birthday message for PM Modi on Thursday, September 17. But he made a tiny grammatical mistake that caught the internet’s attention in no time.
Instead of writing “on his 76th birthday”, the Congress leader managed to jumble up his prepositions, writing “in his 76th birthday”, an error that became the subject of countless internet memes.
“Warm greetings to Prime Minister @narendramodi in his 76th birthday,” wrote Tharoor on his X handle, adding: “Wishing him a very happy day and a healthy and fulfilling
year ahead. My best wishes to him on this occasion for continued public service to our beloved nation.”

After the internet pointed out the error, Tharoor acknowledged it, joking: “Yea “on” his birthday became “in”. This happens all the time alas….”
