Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat had a narrow escape after his vehicle met with an accident on Saturday. The accident took place near Kankerkheda while he was travelling from Delhi to Dehradun, reported ANI.
Rawat reported no injuries and continued his journey. The officials are trying to ascertain the reason behind the accident and a further probe is underway.

Harish Rawat is a senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, known for his long and influential political career. Born on April 27, 1948, in Almora district, Rawat began his political journey as a student leader and went on to become one of the most prominent faces of the Congress party in the hill state.
