MI skipper Hardik Pandya invited CSK to bat first, and they rode on Sanju Samson’s century (101 runs from 54 balls) to post a total of 207 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, MI could only manage to score 104 runs for the loss of all 10 wickets in 19 overs. For CSK, Akeal Hosein picked up 4 wickets for 17 runs in four overs, and two MI batters were sent back to the pavilion by Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad.
