New Delhi, Sep 29 (PTI) The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has made the Land Use Plan, under the Master Plan for Delhi (MPD) 2047, available as a GIS-based interactive digital map, enabling users to search, zoom, and pinpoint locations down to plot level, officials said on Tuesday.
“For the first time, citizens can access designated land-use information about their area or property online, without having to visit civic or local body offices or rely on third parties. The GIS-based interactive Land Use Plan of MPD-2047 is available on the official DDA website,” DDA said.
Citizens and other stakeholders can search for a particular area, location or property and directly view its designated land-use category on the map, it added.
“Under the MPD
2047, including land pooling areas and Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Zones, along with Dwarka Sub-City, Rohini Project Layout, PM-UDAY colonies, DDA parks and other layers, provide greater clarity on the location and spatial distribution of various planning components across Delhi,” DDA, in a statement, said.
According to DDA, nine major land-use categories are displayed through distinct colour coding, making it easy to identify the designated land use of different areas and properties at a glance.
The GIS-based Land Use Plan is designed to be continuously updated as new data becomes available, helping keep land-use and planning information current and relevant, while enabling the planning framework to respond more dynamically and effectively to changes in Delhi’s spatial characteristics, it added.
