Kanwar Dhillon is one of the most loved television actors we have. He is currently shooting outdoors for a sequence in his show Udne Ki Aasha. Meanwhile, there are rumours that the show might go off air post IPL despite consistent TRPs. Now, the actor has finally broken his silence and has rubbished all such reports, saying people can’t digest others’ success.
Speaking to Variety India, Kanwar Dhillon laughed off the rumours and confirmed that this news isn’t true. “This news comes out every now and then. It started from the time the show went on air (laughs). You know, there are many people who are not happy to see you on top, your success. We retained our position in the top five shows as per the BARC list for a whole year. Saying that, multiple
factors impact TRPs of any show. Viewers will see some interesting upcoming sequences that will bring more growth to the characters’ journey,” the actor shared.
Shows often fizzle away after quite a good start on television. Speaking about the same, the actor added, “I think it happens when one falters with the writing of main characters. By the end of 20 episodes, you see a completely different person. I think our consistency in writing played a huge role in this successful journey. From a brash boy struggling with alcohol who gets married off forcefully, to his current situation, some values of Sachin have stayed intact. I, too, have been part of shows where makers changed characters overnight due to TRP pressures. I feel we need to have some faith in writers.”
Kanwar Dhillon stars in Udne Ki Aasha opposite Neha Harsora, who plays Sailee. In addition, the show also features Sanjay Narvekar, Puru Chibber, Tanvi Shewale, and Devashish Chandiramani in key roles.
Kanwar recently celebrated his birthday on March 15, and it was his girlfriend and TV actress Alice Kaushik’s wish that stole hearts. Alice shared fun glimpses from Kanwar’s birthday celebration and wrote, “Happy birthday, bubblegum. It has been and it’ll always be a late post. This past year, I have seen you grow so beautifully, and your growth feels personal. What you have achieved professionally is commendable, but the growth I’ve seen in you as a human being makes me fall in love with you more, if that’s even possible. You’ve not just become tougher but also kinder, more thoughtful, more responsible, more sensitive, and I love you for it. I can finally say that you’re now in touch with your feminine energy too, not just masculine. I see you let both Shiv and Shakti grow in you instead of just Shiv, and that is what I’m most proud of.”
