Chennai, Jun 26 (PTI) The Tamil Nadu government on Friday announced the recipients of the Chief Minister’s Police Medals 2026 for outstanding service in preventing drug production and illicit trafficking of narcotics in the state.
The awards, announced on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, would be presented by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay during the Independence Day Celebration, 2026.
According to an official release here, about 15 officers and constables would receive the prestigious awards.
Vivekananda Shukla, Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore district, G Chandeesh, Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram, S Lakshmanan, Additional Superintendent of Police, NIB-CID, Chennai, V Manoj Kumar, Assistant
Commissioner of Police, Anti–Narcotic Intelligence Unit, Intelligence Section, Greater Chennai Police are among the recipients. PTI JSP JSP KH
