Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Ltd on Friday (November 21) said it has received the allocation of maximum permissible annual production (MPAP) for its mining lease (No. 2679) from the Monitoring Committee constituted by the Supreme Court of India.
The allocation letter, dated November 20, was received by the company on November 21. This follows a series of approvals earlier in the financial year.
On August 7, 2025, the company received approval from the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) for enhancing
its permissible annual production limit. On November 12, 2025, it secured the consent for operation – expansion (CFO-Expand) from the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB).

This go-ahead allows iron ore production of 0.089 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and an increase in manganese ore production from 0.032 MTPA to 0.049 MTPA.
With the latest allocation, the maximum permissible annual production for iron ore has been fixed at 0.03708 MTPA for the balance five months of FY2025-26 after pro-rata adjustment. The manganese ore maximum permissible annual production for FY2025-26 has been revised from 0.032 MTPA to 0.03908 MTPA, marking an increase of 0.00708 MTPA.
Shares of Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Ltd ended at ₹202.50, down by ₹5.45, or 2.62%, on the BSE today, November 21.
