Adani Enterprises shares fall 3% after adjusting for rights issue — Here's all you need to know

Shares of Adani Enterprises Ltd., the flagship company of the Adani Group, will be trading adjusted for its forthcoming rights issue from Monday, November 17. Today is the record date for the rights issue, through which the company seeks to raise ₹24,930 crore.

Shareholders who had shares of Adani Enterprises as of Friday's closing, will be eligible to participate in the rights issue, which will open for subscription on Tuesday, November 25, and close on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Those who buy shares of the company today, will not be eligible to participate in the rights issue.

The ex-rights price will not carry any benefits of the rights shares for those who purchase shares of the company today, as the eligibility criteria has already been determined by the company from the cut-off date, post which the shares start trading ex-rights.

About The Adani Enterprises Rights Issue

Adani Enterprises will be issuing 13.85 crore partly paid-up equity shares, which will carry a face value of ₹1 each.

The rights issue price has been fixed as ₹1,800 per share, which was a 24% discount from the previous day's closing price when the rates were declared, and a 28% discount from last Friday's closing price.

A company generally offers rights shares at a discount to the current market price, so as to encourage shareholders to participate in the fund raising and thereby raise funds without increasing the company's debt burden.

Those who are eligible to participate in the Adani Enterprises rights issue, will be entitled to three rights shares for every 25 shares they own.

Dates For Renunciations

An On-market renunciation means giving up an individual shareholders' right to subscribe to the new shares by selling those in the secondary market. This can fetch proceeds to the shareholder instead of applying for the shares and can be done for the full or partial value of the shareholders' entitlement.

Friday, December 5, 2025, is the final date for the on-market renunciation of the Adani Enterprises rights issue.

Adani Enterprises Rights Issue Timeline

The allotment for the rights shares will be done on Thursday, December 11, 2025, and these shares will be credited to eligible shareholders by Friday, December 12, 2025.

The rights issue shares of Adani Enterprises will begin trading on the exchanges from Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Shares of Adani Enterprises ended 1.4% higher on Friday at ₹2,524.1.
