KEC International has announced that it has bagged new orders worth ₹1,303 crore across different Transmission & Distribution (T&D) businesses.
In an exchange filing issued on Monday, September 14, the company said that it has secured orders for T&D projects across India, the Middle East and the Americas.
ORDER AND SCOPE
Furthermore, enumerating the scope of these projects, the RPG Group-owned company said it has secured an order for a 400 kV transmission line in Northern India, 380 kV transmission lines in Saudi Arabia, along with the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.
Furthermore, the company also added that its Cables & Conductors business has secured various orders in India and the overseas market as well.
No further specification was provided by the Mumbai-based company, and the estimated value of these orders, as mentioned before, is pegged at ₹1,303 crore cumulatively.
Speaking on the order, Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd. commented, “We are delighted with the new order wins, amidst a challenging environment. Our India T&D business has secured a prestigious order from an
existing private client for a transmission line project to evacuate power from a hydroelectric plant in Northern India. "
Q1 PERFORMANCE
Crucially, the company added that with these latest orders, KEC International's YTD order intake stands at over ₹7,600 crore. These orders will play a key role in driving our targeted growth going forward.
In the first quarter, KEC International reported a decline in its operating performance for the first quarter of FY27, with net profit slumping by 41.7% year-on-year to ₹72.6 crore, down from ₹124.6 crore, while revenue remained stable at ₹5,024 crore.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation EBITDA fell by 16.9% to ₹290.8 crore compared to ₹350.1 crore in the same quarter last year, and the EBITDA margin decreased to 6% from 7%.
