Unichem Laboratories Q4 net profit falls 79% on exceptional items

Unichem Laboratories Ltd on Friday (May 22) reported a 79.4% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹11 crore for the fourth quarter, compared with ₹53 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue from operations declined 2.1% to ₹575 crore from ₹587 crore year-on-year. EBITDA fell 43% to ₹47.7 crore from ₹83.7 crore in the year-ago period, while EBITDA margin contracted to 8.3% from 14.3%.

The company reported exceptional items of ₹12.4 crore during the quarter.

Shares of Unichem Laboratories Ltd ended at ₹372.50, up by ₹3.25, or 0.88%, on the BSE.
