What is the story about?
As we enter the middle of the week, plenty of action across markets, policy and tech.
For starters, global markets are in a tailspin as the AI sell-off shows no signs of slowing, dragging down stocks across the US and Europe for a fourth straight day—Bitcoin and gold are tumbling too.
Back home, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal insists India-US ties are steady, even as talk of a trade deal heats up.
Meanwhile, it’s a celebration in the startup world: PhysicsWallah makes a smashing market debut with a hefty premium, and Groww continues its dream run, now valued higher than the BSE itself.
Block deals worth ₹8,800 crore are buzzing across major names, and the government has kicked off its big PSU bank consolidation push—though veterans warn against creating giants that are “too big to fail.”
In legal news, the Supreme Court reverses its own ruling on retrospective green clearances, offering major relief to several sectors.
And Mumbai grapples with a CNG shortage, while a massive Cloudflare outage knocks parts of the internet offline.
Here are the ten biggest stories making headlines this evening.
