Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The biggest trigger for today was supposed to be the RBI policy announcement. But the Nifty 50 will take a bigger cue from the ceasefire announcement made by US President Donald Trump, and the subsequent surge in US futures.

For the Indian equities, the most important positive is the sharp fall in Crude oil prices, with WTI slipping towards the mark of $95 a barrel. During the RBI policy, comments on the growth and inflation outlook, as well as the currency, will be key.

For the Nifty, 24,000 levels are back in sight ahead of the start of this quarter's earnings season. The Nifty Bank will also be key to watch as 1,000-point moves on either side have not been uncommon these days. That brings the 54,000 level in sight for the index too.

Watch out for oil-sensitive stocks, OMCs, Paint, Tyre stocks after the crude crash, along with names like L&T, and heavily-sold names like HDFC Bank. Reliance Industries will be another key stock today, along with IT names ahead of their quarterly results.
