Shares of eClerx Services Ltd. are in focus on Thursday, January 22, after the company informed the exchanges that its board will consider a bonus issue of equity shares next week.
The company, in an exchange filing, stated that its board will meet on Wednesday, January 28, to approve and take on record the firm's financial results for the December quarter and also to consider the proposal for issuance of its bonus equity shares.
This will be eClerx Services' fourth-ever bonus issue, as per data available on the stock exchanges.
The last instance of the company issuing bonus shares was back in September 2022 in the ratio of 1:2, which means shareholders received one bonus share for every two shares they held.
Prior to this, it had issued bonus shares in the ratio if 1:3 in December 2015 and 1:2 in July 2010.
Over the last two years, the company has been carrying out buybacks of its equity shares. It recently concluded one in December, having carried out another one in July 2024.
Shares of eClerx Services ended the previous session 3.3% lower at ₹4,200 apiece. The stock has declined nearly 10% in the past month, has gained 12.4% in the last six months and has increased 33.1% in the past year.
