Kay Beauty, the beauty brand co-founded by Katrina Kaif and Nykaa, has announced its first-ever couture collaboration a limited-edition makeup collection created with luxury fashion house Falguni Shane Peacock.
Titled Kay Beauty × Falguni Shane Peacock, the collection marks Kay Beauty’s most premium offering to date, bringing couture-inspired design, packaging, and colour stories into the everyday beauty space.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18's Zenia Baria at the launch, designer Falguni Peacock said the decision to collaborate came instinctively. “When we spoke to Katrina, we did discuss whether we should do it or not? But in half a night, it was a yes. The idea of packaging couture into a lipstick or a palette and giving people a little piece of the brand really excited us.”
Known globally for high-impact couture worn by celebrities from Beyoncé to Jennifer Lopez, Falguni Shane Peacock approached the collaboration with a clear intent to translate couture into a form that feels tangible, collectible, and accessible.

“I wanted the lipstick to feel heavy. Couture has weight; there’s beading, there’s work, there’s a story. When you hold this lipstick, it should feel like you’re holding something special,” Peacock explained.
That thinking led to the launch of two luxe face palettes: a day palette and an evening palette designed to offer contour, blush, shimmer, and highlight in one compact format.
“We started with eight shades, then ten, then twelve. And then we felt, why stop at just lipsticks? The collaboration needed to feel more complete,” Peacock said.
While Falguni Shane Peacock is often associated with high-end bridal and red-carpet couture, the designers acknowledge the aspirational pull of the brand for younger consumers. “We design for someone who values craftsmanship and heritage. But when there are many man-hours involved, there is a price,” Peacock said.
“This range allows people to say I own a part of Falguni Shane Peacock. Beauty is a natural progression for designers, and this felt like the right time to do it.”
The Kay Beauty × Falguni Shane Peacock limited-edition collection will retail in India exclusively on Nykaa platforms and KayBeauty.com, with international availability in the UK and UAE with the matte lipsticks priced at ₹1,799 each and the face palette at ₹2,199.
