In response, shares of DCM Shriram are trading with gains of over 7.5% on Thursday and are among the top gainers on the Nifty 500 index.
Under the partnership, the two companies will explore joint opportunities across crop protection solutions, seeds, specialty plant nutrition, biologicals and digital farming platforms.
The collaboration will also assess new ways to support farmer organisations and promote environmentally responsible agriculture, including pilot projects focused on soil health, carbon sequestration and integrated crop management. In addition, both sides will examine potential partnerships within select areas of the chemicals sector.

Bayer CropScience’s Chief Executive Officer, Simon Wiebusch, highlighted the importance of the collaboration at a time when Indian agriculture is undergoing significant transformation.

Shares of DCM Shriram are trading 7.5% higher on Thursday at ₹1,297. The stock is up 5% in the last one month and has gained 16% so far in 2025. The stock is still off its 52-week high of ₹1,502.
