GPT Infraprojects Ltd (GPT Infra) has been declared the lowest bidder for a ₹199.17 crore contract from North Eastern Railway to construct substructures and fabricate the superstructure for two major bridges over the Rapti river.
The order covers Bridge Nos. 247 and 287, each measuring 10x61 metres with double D-type well foundations, designed for double-line traffic with RDSO 25-tonne axle loading standards.
The company’s infrastructure segment, which accounted for 91% of Q2 FY26 revenue, recorded
₹243.7 crore during the quarter, reflecting continued execution strength on key contracts and margins exceeding management’s EBITDA targets.
GPT Chairman, Dr Om Tantia, had said, “We are pleased with the continued strength in our business performance, which remains aligned with our targets. We expect growth in excess of 20% for the year, supported by strong cash flows and healthy margins.”
He added that several new projects underway are expected to further strengthen GPT Infra’s position in the infrastructure sector.
Ahead of the announcement, shares of GPT Infraprojects closed at ₹105 on the NSE, down 1.3%.
