What is the story about?
State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd on Monday (January 12) said its wholly owned subsidiary HSCC (India) Ltd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) to establish a strategic collaboration in the healthcare manufacturing and service ecosystem.
Under the MoU, the two entities will work together across a range of healthcare-related areas, including manufacturing and supply of medical devices, healthcare IT and digital solutions, consultancy, project execution, joint procurement, and AMC and warranty support. The collaboration will also cover advisory services linked to healthcare projects.
The agreement provides a framework for cooperation, with project-specific agreements to be executed separately as and when required. According to the disclosure, the MoU has been signed in the normal course of business of the subsidiary company.

Last week, NBCC (India) said it has received work orders worth approximately ₹134.05 crore. The orders, received in the ordinary course of business, include a ₹45.87-crore contract from Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Odisha, for construction, repair and renovation works at the university’s campus in Baripada, Mayurbhanj district, under the PM-USHA scheme.
NBCC has also secured an ₹88.18-crore order from the Odisha School Programme Authority, Bhubaneswar, for the implementation of civil works under the Godabarisha Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya Scheme.
Both contracts have been awarded by domestic entities and involve project management consultancy services, the company said. The work orders are part of NBCC’s regular business operations and will be executed in accordance with the terms specified by the respective clients.

Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd ended at ₹107.80, down by ₹1.40, or 1.28%, on the BSE.
