Indore-based Rajratan Global Wire reports strong operating income growth in Q1, margin expands

Rajaratan Global Wire shares were volatile on Friday, July 24, even as the company reported a healthy set of results for the June quarter. The stock recovered from the lows of the day to gain over 4.5% but gave up all of those gains soon after is gain trading with losses

The company reported strong quarter for the April to June period, with all parameters showing improvement on a year-on-year basis.

Rajratan Global Wire reported a net profit of ₹23 crore during the June quarter, a growth of 70.4% from the ₹13.5 crore it reported during the same quarter last year.

Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹318 crore, a growth of 29% from last year's figure of ₹246.4 crore.

Earnings before interest taxes depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 33% to ₹41.2 crore from ₹31 crore in the first quarter last year.

EBITDA margins for the quarter have expanded to 13.1% from 12.6% in the year-ago period.

In April this year, the company's CMD Sunil Chordia told CNBC-TV18 that the firm is expecting volume growth to be between 18%-20% during financial year 2027. He also said that the Chennai plant expansion is on track with full utilization expected by the financial year 2028.

Shares of Rajratan Global Wire surged 4.5% to hit an intraday high of ₹524 apiece on Friday after the first quarter earnings report. However, it later pared its gains and slipped nearly 1%. The stock is up 12% in the last one month and as a result, as turned positive on a year-to-date basis as well.
