Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited has secured a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for the development of a grid-connected solar photovoltaic project.
The company received the letter of award for executing EPC works for a 250 MWac solar PV project, marking a significant addition to its order book. The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, is valued at approximately ₹725.33 crore, inclusive of taxes.
According to the regulatory disclosure, the project involves end-to-end execution, including engineering, procurement and construction of the solar facility. The project is scheduled to be completed during the FY2026–27 period, in line with the terms of the order.
Solarworld clarified that neither the promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in NTPC Renewable Energy, and the transaction does not fall under related-party dealings.
The shares of the company ended 2.5% in the red in the session on Friday (December 27). The stock has fallen by over 18% in the year so far.
