Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (APM Terminals Pipavav) on Tuesday, February 10, reported a net profit of ₹107.9 crore, up 8.6% from ₹99.3 crore in the same period last year.
The country’s first private sector port also saw a healthy year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth of 11.2% at ₹292.2 crore from ₹262.8 crore, while EBITDA increased 15.4% to ₹160 crore, compared with ₹138.7 crore a year ago.
The EBITDA margin improved to 54.8% from 52.8% in the corresponding quarter in FY25.
Gujarat Pipavav recognised a one-time
₹4.33-crore past service cost (gratuity) in Q3FY26, reflecting changes in the definition of wages in lieu of the new labour code introduced by the government last November.

The company will continue to monitor final central and state rules and any further clarifications, and will account for additional impacts, if any.
The port handled 174,000 TEUs of containers in this quarter, slightly lower than 177,000 TEUs in Q3FY2025. Dry bulk cargo increased to 0.87 million tonnes, up from from 0.72 million tonnes YoY, while liquid cargo rose marginally to 0.40 million tonnes from 0.39 million tonnes.

The port saw a notable increase in Ro Ro (roll-on/roll-off) units handled, rising to 62,000 from 44,000 in the same quarter last year. Container trains handled during the quarter decreased to 438 from 496, and containers handled on trains stood at 107,000 TEUs, down from 112,000 TEUs in Q3FY2025.
Earlier in September 2025, the port operator received a letter from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) awarding a contract for hiring port and storage facilities at Pipavav Port. Under this arrangement, the company will provide marine support and storage infrastructure within its premises as ONGC establishes its offshore supply base at the site.
