CG Power wins largest-ever, ₹900 crore order for data center project in the US

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd on Saturday, January 17, has secured a landmark order worth around ₹900 crore ($99.2 million) from Tallgrass Integrated Logistics Solutions LLC, USA, marking its entry into the fast-growing global data centre segment.

The order, the largest single contract ever won by CG Power, is a direct export deal for the supply of power transformers for a large-scale data centre project in the United States. The transformers will be specifically engineered to meet the high

reliability, efficiency and uptime requirements of hyperscale data centres.

Under the contract, CG will design, manufacture and test the transformers at its facilities in India, with deliveries scheduled over a 12–20 month period. The delivery terms are FAS Mumbai Port, in line with Incoterms 2020, stated the exchange filing.

Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, said the order represents a strategic “platform win” for the company. “This marks our entry into the rapidly expanding global data centre vertical and validates our ability to deliver mission-critical, globally benchmarked technology solutions from India,” he said.

Kaul added that the growing demand driven by cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure is reshaping global power requirements. “We believe this win opens up a significant long-term opportunity pipeline in global data centre projects, aligned with our global growth and margin-accretive expansion strategy,” he said.

The company's exchange filing said its selection for the project reflects its engineering capabilities, advanced manufacturing infrastructure and disciplined execution framework under its CG EDGE operating model, which focuses on translating strategy into consistent execution at scale.

Shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd ended lower on Friday, January 16, by 2.82% ₹560.65 on the NSE.
