Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the markets continue to remain under pressure on this Nifty weekly expiry session. The Nifty remains under the pump after defending 24,500 earlier; it has given up, allowing the bears to breach the mark. The Sensex is down over 450 points, falling to the 78,200 mark.

The Nifty has not managed to either break out of the range or retest those 24,800 levels that it had surged to last Monday, which was the first day of the Closing Auction Session (CAS).

The market will be encountering a rebound in crude oil prices, with Brent climbing past $87 a barrel yet again. The Nifty Bank too, continues to trade in a narrow range, unable to break past 58,000 on the upside, and managing to defend 57,500 on the lower end.

Today's session will also see stock-specific activity as the index only comes into play during the final few minutes of the session.
