What is the story about?
Chemical firm Deepak Nitrite Ltd on Thursday (February 12) reported a net profit of ₹99.8 crore in the third quarter, up 1.8% from ₹98 crore in the same period last year. Revenue for Q3 increased 3.8% year-on-year to ₹1,975 crore from ₹1,903 crore.
EBITDA rose 25.8% to ₹211.5 crore compared with ₹168.2 crore a year ago. EBITDA margin improved to 10.7% from 8.8% in the corresponding period last year.
The Government of India consolidated multiple existing labour legislations into a unified framework comprising four Labour Codes, collectively referred to as the ‘New Labour Codes’, effective November 21, 2025.

Following this, the company and the group assessed the impact of these changes. Based on certain estimates and an actuarial valuation, an incremental provision of ₹10.51 crore at the Company level and ₹12.84 crore at the Group level has been recognised as an exceptional item in the financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025.
Shares of Deepak Nitrite Ltd ended at ₹1,657.50, down by ₹19.00, or 1.13%, on the BSE.
