Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Ltd. on Thursday, August 13, said it has won a "mega" order as part of a strategic partnership with Together AI to build India's largest NVIDIA B300 AI factory.
L&T classifies orders in the ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore range as "mega" orders.
India's largest infrastructure conglomerate said in its exchange filing is that marking its foray into the AI factory business, it will deploy NVIDIA B300 infrastructure at its Chennai data centre campus to power Together AI's AI-native cloud platform for large-scale training and interference.
L&T said its company Vyoma.AI, via its AI infrastructure subsidiary LTN Compute, has secured "India's largest single-cluster AI infrastructure, an NVIDIA B3300 AI Factory, for a US-based AI cloud innovator."
The company said the AI factory will power the cloud platform for large-scale interference, fine-tuning and training workloads.
Vyoma's Chennai data centre campus, a gigawatt-scale AI infrastrucre site, with Phase 1 deisgned for 250 MW and power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, will provide a scalable foundation for future AI Factory expansion.
The integrated AI factory, with capacity of 10,000 B300 NVIDIA GPUs, will be hosted at the Chennai data centre. The platform combines hyperscale data centre infrastructure, accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects, high-throughput parallel storage and AI infrastructure operations, enabling customers to seamlessly deploy and scale AI workloads through a unified, end-to-end AI infrastructure stack.
"Our deployment of an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for Together AI marks a significant milestone in L&T Gigawatt AI Infrastructure Mission and reinforces our commitment to making India a global hub for next-generation AI infrastructure," SN Subrahmanyan, chairman and managing director of L&T said.
LTN Comput is a subsidiary of Vyoma.AI and is building AI-ready digital infrastructure across India via hyperscale AI datacenters, sovereign cloud platforms, AI factory services, GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) and managed AI platforms to support governments, enterprises, cloud providers and AI innovators, the company said.
Shares of L&T have recovered from the lows after the order win announcement, now trading 0.6% higher at ₹4,044.6. The stock is still down 2% so far this year.
