Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty finds resistance at 26,000 on Sensex expiry amid major results

The Indian markets are in dire need of momentum as the Nifty 50 index finds resistance at higher levels, especially ahead of the crucial 26,000 mark. The Nifty will look to break the shackles in today's session after ending yesterday’s trade on a muted note.

Not just the benchmarks, the broader markets were also largely flat, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 indices posting marginal gains of 0.03% and 0.02%, respectively.

It's Thursday and therefore marks the Sensex weekly expiry session. As a result of the inherent volatility of the session, the index could face further challenges.

Even as we are in the last lap of the Q3 results season there is no paucity in the results that are coming, and today is an earnings heavy day with many big boys of the bourse lining for results.

Some names that will be in focus include IRCON, Godrej Ind, LG Electronics, Patanjali Foods, Bayer Corp Lenskart, Yatra and more

Some of the companies reporting their results today include Astra Micro, Abbott India, Bharat Forge, Biocon, Coal India, Cohance Life, HAL, Hindalco, Indian Hotel, HUL, Lupin, Muthoot Fin, ONGC among others.
